Scanner settings
You can customize the scanner functions to match your needs.
Accessing the default scan settings

Press [Setting], [Scanner Settings].

Press [Default Settings].

Set or change the selected items.
For details on each setting, refer to the following table:

When you are finished, press [Reset] to return to the standby mode.
The underlined settings are factory defaults.
Function Description Setting
Doc. Type This sets the default setting for the resolution of the document to be scanned.
Matching the settings to the frequently scanned documents can shorten the time
required to adjust settings.
Text, Auto, Photo
Contrast This sets the default setting for the contrast of the document to be scanned.

Lightest, Lighter, Normal,
Darker, Darkest
Resolution This sets the resolution when scanning the document. You can set the different
settings for monochrome documents and color documents.

File Format Select the default file format for scanning. You can set the different file format
for monochrome documents and color documents respectively.
